A ridge of high pressure exits eastward over Colorado today ushering in a dry southwest flow for the next few days. Overnight temps drop below freezing, then Wednesday expect very warm temperatures, gusty southwest winds under partly cloudy skies. Thursday the winds abate while the warm temperatures remain. Looking towards the end of the week, this approaching southwest flow ushers in a deepening trough of low pressure. At this time weather models show a variety of solutions, but it looks like Friday night through Saturday a modest storm will impact the state on a southwest flow.
