Avalanche Danger

2,2,2

Persistent Slab NW-SE possible. Small-Large.

Steep north to east to southeast-facing slopes have been the most reactive and are the most likely places you can get buried in an avalanche. The poor structure in the snowpack is not going away anytime soon and can fail in surprising ways. Be aware that you can trigger an avalanche from the bottom of a slope or a distance away. Tempting steeper slopes is going to be a roll of the dice.

Snowpack Observations

Observed several large collapses. No cracking. We didn’t dig pits and stuck to low angle slopes.

Riding Quality

Good skiing, finally!
