Wind drifted snow on N, NE, E facing slopes sitting above loose unconsolidated snow.

Route

Headed South out of the Walton Creek trailhead toward North Walton Peak, cross the road, then SW to the top of South Walton Peak 10,559ft. Returned to North Walton Peak the way we came and skied a NE shot off the top of North Walton, then back to the skin track and to the car. 3 hour tour over 5.8mi and 1,350 ft elevation gain/loss.

Clear skies. Dry weather. Temps rising to near freezing and dropping well below freezing. Ridge top winds from the West with strong gusts.
